VOGMASK is used for protection from airborne particles such as PM 0.3, PM 2.5, PM 10, dust, allergens, post combustion particles, germs, shavings, biologics, odors, scents, mold, mold spores, particles in wildfire smoke, volcanic particulate pollution, and other airborne contaminants. The benefits of particulate respirators are confirmed by leading health providers worldwide. Highly efficient filtering masks help protect the mask wearer from particles as small as .254 microns. Particulate respirators are designed to protect the wearer of the mask only. For environments where cross-contamination is a concern, a surgical mask is recommended.
VOGMASK is offered in three sizes.
Weight based Size Recommendations:
SMALL 25-50 lbs / 11-22 kg
MEDIUM 51-130 lbs / 23-58 kg
LARGE 130-200+ lbs / 59-90 kg
A very general guide is Large is for most adults. Mediums fit about 9yrs old, teens & petite adult females.
Small fits youths up to about 8/9years, approx 22-23kg

FITTING TIP: When your Vogmask arrives, the ear loops are measured within variance according to Quality Plan. If the ear loops are too short, gently stretch the loops, then try the mask on for more comfortable adjusted length ear loop.
The filter media in Vogmask is sewn into the middle layers of the mask and is not replaceable. The disk on the side of the mask is a one way exhalation valve to facilitate the exit of moistrue and CO2 from interior of the mask. The masks can be maintained by hand wash and hang dry. Raw materials are: Organic cotton or microfiber outer and inner layer, microfiber particle filter, coconut shell derived carbon ash bonded to textile, latex free spandex trim and ear loops, aluminum noseband, ABS Resin exhale valve base and cover with silicone stopper. MATERIAL DATA SAFETY SHEETS have established material components as safe for respirators. There is NO LATEX in the manufacture of Vogmask, and Vogmask is printed with safe for respirator inks and dyes.
Both the microfiber one valve and organic two valve VOGMASKS have the same middle layers of particle filter and carbon filter. They are equally efficient for keeping microscopic particles out of the respiratory system and protecting from odors. Some people prefer the organics because of natural fiber, and others say the microfiber masks with one valve are more comfortable. The one valve is efficient for facilitating the exit of moisture and CO2 from the interior of the mask; the two valves are also efficient for these functions. The only difference between the microfiber and organic cotton Vogmasks is the textile on the outer and inner layer. If you are sensitive or allergic to synthetic textiles, the organic cotton masks will be more agreeable to wear. Organic Vogmasks are also available without exhale valve and carbon filter layer, and are efficient for filtering particles on both inhale and exhale.
VOGMASK is in use in many environments for intercepting odors such as in poor air quality, natural disasters, proximity to chemicals, perfumes, cleansers and other triggering odors, and in beauty CARE (hair, nail, lash, tan) . The middle layers of carbon filter (for odors, VOC's, Ozone) and particle filter help to prevent sensitive lungs from these odors and particles. VOGMASK excels in features of reusability, fit, comfort and filtering capability.
The useful life depends on the environmental conditions the mask in which the mask is worn. Normally people will replace their mask each year; in environments of high particulate matter such as poor air quality conditions, it is recommended the mask be replaced every 5-6 months, or when a noticeable increase in breathing resistance occurs. The mask may be reused until the Use by Date marked on the packaging. Vogmask is certified as a Reusable mask product. Once the middle layer particle filtering textile is clogged with microscopic particles, there is an increase in breathing resistance and a new mask is needed.
If any part or assembly of the mask is damaged, or if a good seal is not achievable, discard the mask.
The CE certified Vogmask Head Strap is a useful accessory for securing the mask behind the head with a tensioner bead. This strap or head harness is available as a separate accessory item to be worn by the user with any of the Vogmask variants. The head harness attaches to the ear loops with snaps. The head harness tightens the strap behind the head with a tensioner bead.
When a head harness is useful:
Playing sports in a mask
Riding a motorcycle, bike, or scooter
The disk on the side of the mask is a one-way exhalation valve designed to add comfort to the wearer by the free exit of moisture and CO2 of the exhale. Valved respirators protect the wearer from airborne hazardous contaminants.
You need not wash the mask frequently. Hand wash by rinsing outer and inner layer with water. Add a drop of liquid soap and gently rub around inner and outer layer. Rinse again and hang to fully dry before storage in a cool, dry palce. Wash the mask only when you wish to clean the outer and inner layer. Washing the mask does not clear the filter media of microscopic particles. The valve is permanently attached to the mask. Rinsing the valve will clear it of microscopic dust and particles. For maximum cleanliness, respirator users should wash their hands before putting on a respirator and after taking one off.
No, the valve is permanently heat sealed to the mask. It is fine to get it wet, This will clear it of microscopic dust and particles. Do not take apart the valve for washing
No, washing keeps the outer and inner layer fresh. It does not remove microscopic particles from the filtering nanofibre. Once the filter media is to capacity, the mask needs to be replaced ie when a noticeable increase in breathing resistance occurs.Normally people will replace their mask each year; in environments of high particulate matter such as poor air quality conditions, it is recommended the mask be replaced every 5-6 months, or when a noticeable increase in breathing resistance occurs.
Yes, there is breathing resistance in any high efficiency particle filtering face mask. For most people, once you are not thinking about it, the resistance is not an issue. The inhalation resistance on our product is well within the acceptable range specified by NIOSH.
